QSYNC Music Tagger (QMT)

Tag your music - or skip tagging entirely.

Tagging a big collection by hand is soul-destroying - and you still end up with messy files. QSYNC Music Tagger (QMT) fingerprints releases and can write straight to your library.

What it does

  • Tag manually, from MusicBrainz, or fully automatically by audio fingerprint
  • Recursive, folder-deep auto-tagging of many releases at once - fast
  • Fetch rich metadata from Discogs - performer credits, instruments, images
  • Cached, un-gated metadata from QSYNC servers - fast
  • Your privacy first: contributing what you tag back to the shared QSYNC cache is opt-in - off unless you switch on Share Metadata in Settings
  • Save tags & metadata straight to the QSYNC Media Player database - no need to touch your files at all
  • Fetch cover art and disc art
  • Built-in image restoration - denoise, sharpen and clean up old artist photos
  • Handles all common formats incl. Matroska (MKV/MKA), ISO and disc-folder backups
